Cape Cod Golf Course Guide

Cape Cod Golf

Everyone knows Cape Cod is famous for its beautiful beaches, iconic lighthouses and fresh seafood, but Cape Cod is also a great place to visit if you’re a golfer. There are a number of clubs and courses not far from the Chatham Gables Inn.  If you or your family are itching to hit the fairways during your trip to our Cape Cod bed and breakfast, then this guide to Cape Cod golf courses will point you in the right direction. The courses listed below are open to the public and do not require membership.

Chatham Seaside Links

This 9-hole course is right in downtown Chatham.  The links-style Cape Cod golf course is good for both experienced and beginning golfers with the majority of its holes being par 3 or 4.  It’s compact but comfortable and has lovely views, especially from the 7th hole.

The Captains Cape Cod Golf Course

The Captains has two 18-hole championship courses in one location, making it a great destination for golfers.  Located in Brewster, MA, it includes 36 holes of great golf. The par 72 Port Course is the more challenging of the two. The Port Course features two kettle ponds and holes 12-17 have been recently updated.  The Starboard Course is also par 72 and is the more popular due to its ease.  Beginners and players with higher handicaps will enjoy the Starboard Course. Falmouth Country Club

Also home to two courses, Falmouth Country Club has 27 holes of golf in total.  There is an 18-hole championship course that plays as a par 72 that you can walk or ride.  For a shorter outing the par 37 “Talon” golf course is 9-holes of fun.  This Cape Cod golf course boasts flat, lush fairways and pristine greens.  And as a point of interest, a pair of ospreys have a nest on the 10th whole, providing a little bird watching as you make your putt.

Holly Ridge Golf Club

Holly Ridge is an 18-hole, par 54 golf course.  The format of 18 par 3 holes may be foreign to some golfers, but it provides a friendly and fun way to play a round. Juniors and families are well suited to this Cape Cod golf course due to the length of each hole.  Holly Ridge has been named on of the Top Short Courses in America by Golf Range Association of  America.

Bass River Golf Course

This Cape Cod golf course was founded in 1900 and then expanded in 1914.  Today it has 18 beautiful and challenging holes.  Its distinctive narrow fairways and small greens test players skills.  The course sits along the Bass River and has scenic views of the river and marshland.

Bayberry Hills

This Cape Cod golf club has three 9-hole courses: The Red Course, the White Course, and the Blue Course.  Bayberry Hills is also home to fine golf instruction by PGA and LPGA member Sue Kaffenburgh, in case your game needs sharpening. Both Bayberry Hills and Bass River are located in Yarmouth. To book a tee time at one of these Cape Cod golf courses, visit Golf Yarmouth Cape Cod here.
