The delicious pieces of fried potatoes are made and disturbed by none other than the Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory. When you come to stay with us at Chatham Gables, you will have the opportunity of learning and watching the process of making potato chip and other yummy snacks on a tour of the Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory. Here are a few things to know about the factory and tour!
Cape Cod Potato Chips began when two small business owners imagined a small operation that could produce and sell the potato chips they had cooked in their kitchen for years. In July 1980, the dream became a reality. The two men set up shop in a small storefront in Hyannis. The big crunch of the kettle-cooked chips soon became a local favorite and quickly spread as tourist sampled the chips. The business later developed out of the storefront and into worldwide natural snacks.
The company expanded their snacks to include varieties of popular Reduced Fat items as well as over half a dozen potato chip flavors and kettle style whole grain chips. As the company continues to add to its brand, it still maintains the tradition of using only the highest quality, all-natural ingredients in all the snacks!
Home of ridiculously good chips, the Cape Cod Factory produces flavors such as Original Potato Chips, Sea Salt & Vinegar, Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper, Sweet & Spicy Jalapeno, Sweet Mesquite Barbeque, and Sour Cream & Green Onion potato chips. The company also offers limited batch chips featuring Back Bay Crab Seasoning and Asiago Cheese & Italian Herbs potato chips.
Located only 35 minutes away from our charming Inn, the Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory offers guests an experience they won’t want to miss.
