Planning a vacation can mean different things to different people. For some, it’s just a quick day or two in another place and just seeing where your mood takes you. For others, it’s a week or more filled with fun activities and memories that will last a lifetime. While these two vacation scenarios can be similar and very different at the same time, they are both fantastic ideas. One fun activity that many love to do while they are here is to do some Chatham MA shopping. Here is our guide to some of our favorite Chatham MA shopping spots.

The Best Chatham MA Shopping
While there are going to be big malls and outlet centers all over the country, you really can’t beat keeping it local when it comes to Chatham MA shopping. Our Main Street is always our top pick for local shops. It has over a mile of shops all nestled next to each other and all filled with different goodies. One of the best aspects of Main Street Chatham MA shopping is unlike other local shopping areas, this one has plenty of parking. You can park on street or in one of the garages. Let’s move on to some of our favorite Chatham MA shopping spots.
One of the first Chatham MA shopping spots we recommend is Chatham Pottery. There are many types of art mediums, as well as artists out there but there is something truly awesome about pottery. It has multiple uses and so much history behind it. You can use it, display it, and the best part is that smaller pieces can easily fit into luggage which makes taking it home a breeze. Local artist Margaret Grey has taken her love of pottery and transformed it into something amazing. Some of the types of pottery you can find in her shop are tumblers, chowder mugs, vases, wine caddies, mixing bowls, platters, and more. Her shop is always worth a visit.
For a lot of us, mostly us women, we love to go clothes shopping. A new outfit can transform how we feel about ourselves so easily. If you love shopping local for clothes, here in Chatham, nothing beats Mahi Gold. Always local, their prints and dresses for adults and children have become a staple around here. Their clothes are made in U.S. and, at first, were only available via trunk shows but quickly developed into a store. Be sure to peruse all of their fun prints and take a bit of Chatham back home to your closet.
Next on our tour of Main Street Chatham MA shopping is gifts. We have to show the people in our lives that we care and nothing shows that better than the perfect gift. At Picnic Fashion, picnics are always in style. This shop has some of the coolest gifts around. Whether it’s for a picnic or not, you can find something for everyone here. They have vintage items as well which is a great way to step back in time. This is also a great shop for a tailgating fan. They always are in search of new items to add to their collection. This shop is truly one of a kind.
Lastly, we can’t forget about the kids! Whether they are with you in Chatham or at home, it’s always fun to get them something special. At Ducks in the Window, every type of kid, even the big ones, will find something fun. As the name suggests, they do specialize in rubber ducks but they do have nostalgic toys like whoopee cushions, jacks, and much more. Brands like Hello Kitty and Curious George line the walls as well so there is something for everyone.
