Here is our guide that will help you not only choose the best ferry for your family but help you with the Nantucket ferry schedule.
Here in Cape Cod there are a couple of different companies that will shuttle you to Nantucket and back with ease and all of them have their own Nantucket ferry schedule. The first company is called Hy-Line Cruises and they operate out of Hyannis and will take you to Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard, in-between, and back. When you choose Hy-Line, you should arrive a bit early and enjoy lunch and a treat at their Hy-Line Landing. Oysters, sandwiches, and Ben & Jerry’s make a trip to Nantucket a fun time. Hi-Line Cruises has two different ferries to choose from and each have their own Nantucket ferry schedule. You can choose the high speed Grey Lady which will get you to Nantucket in about an hour and their regular ferry, Great Point, will get you to Nantucket in about 2 hours.
The next company, The Steamship Authority, also offers trips to Martha’s Vineyard as well as Nantucket and boast the lowest fares and most departure times of any one else. If you plan on going to Martha’s Vineyard then you will be departing from Woods Hole while the Nantucket passengers will depart from Hyannis. They also offer a high speed ferry option that will get you there in also about an hour. You may also choose their traditional ferry as well. This company also allows for cars to come across as well but a reservation is always highly recommended. Their Nantucket ferry schedule allows for easy day trips to this wonderful island. Be sure to check out their reservation fares page so you will be able to see exactly how much it will cost you to get to Nantucket and back. They also break down their fares for hauling equipment for you as well. Planning on spending a lot of time in Nantucket? Consider buying a book of tickets to make your journeys cheaper and easier.
