When: Late August – Early September
By the Bays Shows hosts some of the best art and craft shows on Cape Cod. This 3-day festival has been held here for more than 20 years. It always takes place around Columbus Day and grows in popularity every year. Did we mention that admission is free?
Labor Day Weekend Arts and Crafts Festival
When: Late August- Early September
If you like art and love discovering local creations wherever you travel, then you’ll want to attend the Labor Day Weekend of Arts and Crafts in Hyannis. Located at the Village Green on Main Street, this festival features works from more than 100 artisans, including fine jewelry, candles, pottery, home decor, clothes, paintings, photography, and much more.
Cape Cod Wildlife Festival
When: Early September
Are you a nature lover? Then you’re going to love the Cape Cod Wildlife Festival. Drive to the Massachusetts Audubon’s Long Pasture Sanctuary in Cummaquid for a fun day filled with animals, music and activities. The festival is dedicated to raising awareness for habitat preservation and animal rehabilitation. They also have presentations, book signings, music, and more. Do you want to know the best part? Cape Cod Brew Fest
When: Late September
The Cape Cod Brew Fest is the perfect event for beer lovers. Is there anything better than sipping a local brew as you enjoy the crisp autumn air? Since its creation in 2011, the event has become one of the most up-and-coming festivals in the region. Join the crowd this year and head over to the Cape Cod Fairgrounds, where more than 50 breweries’ offerings await you. The festival also helps to raise money for the Barnstable Agricultural Society and their annual scholarships. Food vendors and live music are also included!
Attend Chatham’s very own Oktoberfest this year! This 4-hour party is an ideal event for families. At this event, you’ll be able to taste delicious German beers, play games, browse craft booths, and listen to great live music. You can also grab a bite at several food trucks on-site! The festival takes place from noon to 4 p.m. at Kate Gould Park on Main Street.
Yarmouth Seaside Festival
Before Halloween mania takes over the country, head over to Yarmouth for their annual Seaside Festival! This fall celebration was founded in 1978 and has since grown into one of the most important events in the area. Bring your friends and family for a fun day at the giant craft fair—which gathers more than 125 crafters from all over the country—attend the parade, various races (kayak, canoe, or 5K), and various contests! Musical entertainment and fireworks are also part of the festival. You won’t want to miss any of it!
