When you stay at our Cape Cod bed and breakfast you’ll be a short boat ride away from some of the best fishing on the east coast.  Guests at Chatham Gables Inn have long enjoyed fishing charters as a day trip.  Whether you want to fish for cod, tuna or striped bass, there are many fishing charters to choose from.  The Cape Cod area has many knowledgeable captains ready to make your experience a great one.  It doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned angler or a beginner, Cape Cod fishing charters are fun for people of all skill levels.

Captain Bruce A. Peters at Capeshore Charters in Chatham is a 16th generation Cape Cod native and he uses all the knowledge he and his family have acquired to help you have a safe, successful and fun fishing trip.  Captain Bruce’s boat, the Marilyn S is a new 34’ open decked Downeast lobster boat designed by Ernest Libby.  The Marilyn S carries six passengers and she’s equipped with the latest in safety and GPS technology.  Captain Bruce recommends using light fishing tackle so guests can feel the fight of the fish.  His approach is about enjoying the catch, and not hurrying through the process.  For rates, contact info and Captain Bruce’s fishing forecast, click here

Cape Cod Charters depart from Ryder’s cove through Chatham’s Pleasant Bay to Monomoy Island.   The remote island is a great place to reel in impressive striped bass. Along with striped bass fishing charters, they offer fishing charters for lobster, fluke, flounder, cod and tuna.  They also specialize in light tackle fishing. The fishing charters range from two to eight hours.

Captain Bob Miller and his boat the Headhunter offer smaller fishing charters of up to six people.   Sailing out of Stage Harbor in Chatham, the Headhunter travels out to Monomoy Island, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Island for striped bass, bluefish and cod fishing charters.  The cod charters are the longest, lasting ten hours.  Striped bass and bluefish fishing charters can be four, six or eight hours, depending on your preference.
