COVID-19 Notice:  After all of our shared trials during the past year, we at the Chatham Gables Inn value the health, safety and comfort of our guests and staff; therefore, we ask that guests show us their COVID-19 vaccination cards upon arrival. For the guests that do not have their vaccination cards with them, we ask that they please wear masks in all public areas of the inn. Rates:  All our rates are per night, based on single or double occupancy, and include a glorious country breakfast.  Applicable tax is additional.  All rates and policies are subject to change. When booking directly with us, you will always find the best rate. 

Minimum Stay:   We do have minimum stay requirements throughout the year. Please inquire about specific dates.  During the high season mid-June through mid-Sept. we have a 3-night minimum for all nights. Our shoulder seasons mostly reflect a 2-night minimum weekday and/or 2or 3-night minimum weekend.  Shoulder-season and In- season Holidays require a 3-night minimum.  Winter holidays require a 2-night minimum weekend prior to the Holiday if it does not fall on a weekend.  Please call the Inn directly at 508-945-5859 for specific date stay requirements.

Deposits:  Full deposits day of booking required for stays of 1-2 nights. 50% deposit required for stays 3 nights or longer with balance due 24 hours prior to arrival. Deposits will be refunded less 10% (total reservation) processing fee as long as cancellation/change of date is made at least 21-days prior to arrival date.

Check-in:  Check-in time is from 3 PM until 6 PM.

Late Arrival: Please call the Inn directly if you plan to arrive later than 6 PM and we will inform you of our Late Arrival procedure.

Cancellations:  Due to our small size, cancellations and change of dates affect our boutique Chatham Inn significantly. We have a strict 21-day cancellation policy in place.  Cancellations for any reason whatsoever (canceling in full or in part, meaning shortening the reservation) made within 21 days of arrival will result in forfeiture of any deposits, and the full amount due will be charged. Deposits will be refunded less 10% (total reservation) processing fee as long as cancellation/shortening/change of date is made at least 21 days prior to arrival date. A no-show, late arrival, or early departure due to any circumstance whatsoever, including weather is considered a cancellation, as is any change in arrival or departure dates.

We realize that cancellations are often beyond your personal control. Guests who have concerns about this may wish to consider Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption Insurance to protect yourselves against any and all unforeseen eventualities including sudden illness in the family, airline & boat cancellations, any weather-related reason, etc.  For this reason, we recommend purchasing travel insurance for peace of mind. Age Requirements:  Chatham Gables Inn is equipped to accommodate travelers ages 16 and above.

Excessive Cleaning / Damage In the rare event that a room or its contents are damaged due to extreme guest negligence, we must assess a cleaning or replacement charge equal to the fee needed to resolve the damage.

Guest Accessibility

Chatham Gables Inn is a historic sea captain’s private residence, built in 1839. Keeping this in mind, we do not have wheelchair accessibility into our bedrooms or bathrooms and there is no wheelchair ramp into the house.  We do have three 1st-floor rooms, two of which have one step up into the room.  All three rooms have walk-in showers, with one room having grab bars in place in the shower.

Qualifying Service Dogs

We welcome with open arms qualified, certified Service Dogs.  These dogs must be docile in manner, especially when around guests; they must be very well behaved and mannered at all times; they must be kept on a leash and never left alone in a guest room; they must not create an uncomfortable environment for other guests or staff.  If behavior should pose a threat at any time, the animal must be vacated from the property without argument. Pets: We love pets. However, we cannot accommodate them in the Inn.
